You are encouraged to cross the Zimbabwe/Zambia border as both towns -- Victoria Falls and Livingstone have much to offer. If you visit just for the day, then a one-day tourist visa will be issued at no cost. Consider obtaining a multi-trip visa in the States before the trip if you plan on staying overnight before coming back across or you will be required to pay a $30 border crossing each time.
